Funeral services for Marlin “Joel” Williams, 55, of Livingston, Texas were held Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Kevin Hendrix and Bro. John Alworth officiating. Interment followed at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation was held the day of service, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Joel was born October 28, 1969, in Woodville, Texas and passed away December 30, 2024, in Conroe, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Redd Williams and Pauline Mildred (Bullock) Williams, and brother, Aaron W. Williams.
He is survived by his sister, Sonia Flores and husband George Sr. of Livingston, Texas; brother, Timothy Kyle Williams of Livingston, Texas; nieces, Faith Flores, Elaina Bullock and Kelsi Williams; nephews, George Flores Jr., Jeremykk Battise and Tash Williams; great nieces, Sanala Bullock, Esaleah Hernandez and Avana Rose Poncho; and great nephew, Kane Maxwell; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Battise, George Flores Jr., Carlos Alec, Tash Williams, Branson Whitethunder and Richard Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Garreth Abbey, Carla Williams and John Alexander.
