TRINITY COUNTY —Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash on state Highway 94, northeast of Trinity, that occurred Sunday.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:49 p.m., a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling south while a 2010 Toyota Prius was traveling north. It is reported that the driver of the Chevrolet was distracted while driving, crossed into the northbound lane, and struck the Toyota.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 24-year-old Taylor Roby of Houston, was not injured.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as 25-year-old Quantera Owens of Conroe, along with two passengers 24-year-old Christian Williams of Lufkin and 29-year-old Telisa Johnson of Houston, were transported to CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Lufkin for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
