ANDERSON — Head Coach Shaun Stout said last week did not go too well versus Anderson-Shiro, with the Trinity Tigers losing to the Owls 55-13.
However, Stout said they will play New Waverly this Friday night, and a 17-point win will give them a shot at clinching a playoff spot.
Standouts for Trinity offensively were Terian Maxie, Jonathan Baker, Jayden Alexander, Cove Copley, Jammale Johnson and Brady Arnold.
Defensive standouts were Mathew Bivens, Jason Price, A.D. Debose and Jonathan Baker.
Groveton
The Groveton Indians were blanked 45-0 by the Hearne Eagles on Friday.
Head Coach Michael Waldie said players of the game were Wyatt Snead, Trystin Ard, and Carter Cox.
The Indians have to beat Leon by 12 to get into the playoffs or the season is over, he said.
Senior night will be held on Friday prior to the game.

The Eagles overpowered the High Island Cardinals 46-0 on Friday.
