With the lie revealed, will there be a reckoning?

The current fashionable thing among politicians and media outlets is to suddenly realize that for years, President Joe Biden was in a state of decline, both physically and mentally.

What is sad about that is many of us, particularly those with conservative bents and a need to tell the truth, already knew that, because we have eyes and minds and can reason.

Yet for years we were told by the folks who get paid massive amounts of money to inform us that there was nothing to see, that the president was “the best version” of himself, and that it was only right-wing misanthropes tossing out lies to smear a noble man simply trying to make the world a better place.

That kind of rhetoric wound down after Biden’s disastrous performance in the pre-election debate, and now, without so much as a “mea maxima culpa” and three strikes to the chest, the same folks who assured us that the former president was OK are now saying the opposite or trying to claim they were duped by administration lackeys.

One such torchbearer of truth, Jake Tapper, is currently on a tour promoting his book on the cover-up of Biden’s health, which is a head-scratcher for me since he was a champion of Biden’s health. His network, CNN, is also touting this book as if they actually scored some sort of journalistic coup on reporting the truth.

On the other side of this coin of lies is the President and his administration, and whether he was actually the president.

Months ago information was released that many of the thousand-plus pardons issued by Biden at the end of his term were actually signed by autopen, some even when the president was on vacation.

Then, as demonstrated in one of the many “revelations” in Tapper’s book, members of the administration were quoted as saying the president was no longer the man who could respond to any 2 a.m. emergency or world crisis.

Now, with the recent revelation that Biden is suffering from an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer, it calls back into question of who exactly was running our country.

Anyone who has battled cancer, or who has had relatives that had battled cancer, knows it can be supremely debilitating.

To think that this malady surfaced only after Biden left office is to my mind a bit of a stretch.

So what happens now?

We have been lied to repeatedly, with the intent to influence us to keep with the party line, by a group of people who were supposed to give us information and the truth.

We have been lied to repeatedly by people who represented the nation’s leader, duping us into believing the man who was elected to the highest office in the land was ready, willing, able and capable of performing his duties, and even issuing orders that affected the country’s people and political direction.

There needs to be a whole-scale investigation into the administration, and it doesn’t and shouldn’t matter that Biden is now out of office. To my mind, any action taken on the president’s behalf by people who were not elected needs to be voided.

While the comeuppance for the national media, and their willing accomplices on the left, will be harder to bring about, it has started somewhat, as people are turning away from the lying liars who lie in search of truth.

One thing for sure: to let this slip away would be a travesty, tantamount to approval of propaganda.
