The goal of Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas is to connect employers and workers and workforce centers are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the Deep East Texas region.
Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas offers job fairs for employers across its 12-county region. Assistance with events is available at the six workforce centers. Additionally, workshops are held to prepare job seekers for the job search, interviews and work.
Locally, the workforce center is located at 1241 W. Church Street, Ste. 300 in Livingston. There are two upcoming hiring events and job fairs – Texas Department of Criminal Justice will host a hiring event from 1-5 p.m. on June 26. Additionally, Gary Job Corps will host an event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 12.
There are also several upcoming local workshops. An interview skills workshop is slated for 2 p.m. on June 12 and June 26. A professional development workshop will be held at 10 a.m. on June 18. A resume workshop is slated for 10 a.m. on June 11 and at 2 p.m. on June 19. A breaking background barriers workshop will be held at 2 p.m. on June 12 and at 10 a.m. on June 25. A two-day workshop on soft skills training is slated for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 23-24.
