And just like that, the end of school year is in sight

Posted

This week starts winding down the last month of the TISD school year. Before long we will be praying for relief from the sun’s vicious rays, but for now, we have a few more weeks of spring.

I attended the Camp Street Jazz festival this weekend on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, and it was fabulous. The weather was perfect, the music was perfect, and the food was perfect.

I experienced two eating places while in Crockett this weekend, and I must say that these two establishments have not lost their charms. One was the Moose Head Café and the other was the Mimosa Grill. Great weekend.

•There are some fun and important dates still left in the school year, and I will list them below before I drift into the world of summer madness.

Remember the Teachers in May. Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, so donate treats and eats for your child’s campus if you can.
