The Lady Eagles posted two losses in last week’s time on the diamond, a 12-2 loss to Cushing on March 10 and a 14-2 loss to Douglass on Friday.
In the Cushing game, Faith Smith, Sophie Oldham, Summer Lamb, Mackenzie Cockrell and Katie Davis each had a hit in the game, with Oldham getting credit for two RBIs.
Faith Smith took the loss on the mound, managing only five strikeouts but giving up five walks and 14 hits. Smith had mound duty against Douglass, and while she threw 13 strikeouts, she gave up 15 hits that included four doubles and a triple.
At the plate, Smith, Lauren Lankford and Davis all contributed hits against Douglass.
The Lady Bulldogs lost twice last week — falling 5-2 against Mount Enterprise on March 10 and a 15-0 blanking by Alto.
Stats for the Mount Enterprise game weren’t immediately available. Against Alto, Marlee Hobbs and Jami Whittlesey had the sole hits for Centerville. Avery Brown took the loss on the mound with only two strikeouts while giving up 11 hits.
The Lady Indians’ lone outing on the diamond was a 4-3 win over Corrigan-Camden on Friday. The March 10 game against Chester was cancelled.
Reaghan Benton led at the plate with two hits, with one being a homer in the top of the first. Abi Kayte Roberts, Gracie Kane, Kambrie Crawford, Kayleigh Albus and Abbey Thornton all added hits in the win.
Roberts got the win on the mound, tossing nine strikeouts while giving up only 4 hits.
