The Lady Eagles took away a 3-0 win (25-11, 25-21, 25-21) over county rival Centerville on Sept. 16, but fell 3-0 (25-5, 25-14, 25-19) to Chester.
Head Coach Raegyn Moreno said the games were packed with action, including 19 kills in Tuesday's match, and 11 digs.
Moreno said key players for the week were sophomore Brooke Brister, who racked up 7 kills on the week, 1 block, and a lot of solid touches at the net. Senior Lauren Lankford posted 5 kills, 1 block, and a lot of solid touches. Lastly, sophomore setter Savannah McLennan came away with 6 kills and 3 digs on the week, as well as helping lead the team from the setter position.
Head Coach Courtney Willis said that although the Lady Tigers took another loss to Alpha Omega, there were some standout players in the Friday match.
Trinity lost 3-0 (12-25, 14-25, 7-25).
In sophomore Chrissie Vaughn's debut game, she served 2 aces and completed 10 serve receptions. Sophomore Jasmine Jordan had 10 attacks and a solid kill. Sophomore Valerie Cleveland and freshman Ka'Leigh Ford also served an ace. Freshman Braliegh Bush served up 2 aces and also had a kill. Junior Ashara English had 11 attack attempts, 2 kills, and served up an ace as well.
The Lady Indians downed Onalaska on Sept. 16 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-18).
Caila Antley led the offense with 11 kills, while Jannett Bautista served up 6 aces. Alinda Veng offered 13 assists.
Kayleigh Albus led the team with 19 digs, while Abbey Thornton and Bautista had 10 digs apiece.
On Friday, Groveton lost to Hudson 3-1 (20-25, 24-2625-12, 18-25).
Albus shot home 14 kill shots, while Bautista had 4 aces and 12 assists and Veng adding 17 assists.
On defense, Albus had 26 digs, Bautista had 18 digs, Thornton had 17 digs, Antley had 16 digs and Veng had 10 digs.
