CENTERVILLE — It was a successful weekend for the Bulldogs as they outclassed Laneville on Saturday in a game rescheduled twice, and downing Broaddus Friday.
Head Coach Geoffrey Hollis said it was a rough, gritty match to end up with a 50-45 win over Broaddus.
Broaddus jumped out to an early 10-point lead in the second quarter, but Centerville battled back to even the score at 24 each at halftime.
Kolt Larsen outscored Broaddus 9-7 in the fourth quarter to give Centerville a huge district victory on the road.
Top producers were Kolt Larsen with 24 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals; Hardy Brown with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal; and Wyatt Clede with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 1 steal.
The Bulldogs downed Laneville 83-32, moving to 17-9 on the year.

The Centerville boys are 17-9 overall (6-3 in district play, currently 3rd place) and look to clinch back-to-back playoff berths for the first time since the '90s.
The Tigers strolled past the Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 78-64. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ayden DeBose went 10-for-18 to post 33 points, which includes five 3-pointers. Terian Maxie put up 18 points in the paint, and Darren Bass and Cord’e Walker both added 11 points.
Trinity's victory moves their record up to 15-10.
On Jan. 27, Trinity downed New Waverly 55-47.
The Indians lost two games last week, falling to Grapeland 57-18 on Jan. 27 and losing to the Centerville Tigers 62-47 on Friday.
The Eagles split last week’s games, beating Martinsville 72-52 on Wednesday but losing 66-45 on Friday.
