The area track meets produced a large crop of athletes headed to this weekend’s regional meets.
The top four finalists in each event advance to regionals.
For Centerville, those qualifiers include Avery Brown, 3rd in 800-meter; Wyatt Clede, 2nd in 800-meter; Hardy Brown, 3rd in 800-meter; Peyton Noack, 4th in 300-meter hurdles; Lexan Peterson, Laney Peterson, Darbi Parker and Avery Brown placed second in the 4x200-meter relay; Marlee, Darbi, Laney, Avery, district champs 4x400-meter relay; Mayce Maxfield, 3rd in 3,200-meter; Hardy, Eli, Chris, Wyatt, 3rd in 4x400-meter relay; and Grant Wood, 3rd in discus.
Apple Springs will send Lauren Lankford, Preston Murray and Bradyn Kaufman in discus; Kayden Roden in 110-meter hurdles; the 4x100-meter and 4x200-meter relay teams; and Brady Kaufman in shot put.
Trinity regional qualifiers for the boys include Ayden Debose, 2nd in the 200m, 4th in the 4x100; Terian Maxie, 4th in the 4x100-meter; Corde Walker, 4th in the 4x100-meter; Landon Sweeting-4th in the 4x100-meter; and Jacob Coleman, 4th in the 110-meters hurdles.
For the girls, those include Kayleigh Clayborne, 1st place long jump (plus setting a school record); Janessa Foley, 4th place long jump; Kayleigh Clayborne, 2nd place high jump; Paetyn Jolly, 4th place high jump; Braleigh Bush, 7th place triple jump; and Kayla Dudley, 7th place pole vault.
The relay team of Skylar Knight, Lauren McDougald, Londen Evans, and Kayleigh Clayborne advance after placing 3rd in the 4x100-meter relay, and second in the 4x200-meter relay (plus setting a school record).
The relay team of Asis Cerda, Skylar Knight, Lauren McDougald and Kayleigh Clayborne placed fourth in the 4x400-meter relay.
Qualifiers for Groveton include Reaghan Benton, Mikayla Baskette, the 4x100 relay team, Serenity Monroe, Gabril Constante, Jesus Maldonado, Jay Smith, Colton Cox and Haygen Townsend.
