The district cross country meet in Broaddus was a big day for Apple Springs. The results are:
Varsity Girls Medalist, 6th place and Regional Qualifier: Faith Smith
Junior High Girls Medalist: Emma Carswell, second place; and Isabela Vasquez, third place
Top Finishers: Hallie Hildebrand, 13th; and Mavis Murray, 28th
Junior High Boys Medalist: A.J. Vasquez, 7th place
Top Finishers: Cade Sanders, 12th place; Pierce King, 28th place
The Bulldogs had three cross country athletes place in the Top 10 at the district cross country meet last week in Broaddus and have advanced to the Regional Cross Country meet.
Varsity boys: Kason Harris, 9th, advanced to regionals.
Other runners were Brandon McWhorter and Aiden Conner, Parker Leach.
Varsity girls: Avery Brown, 2nd; and Lexan Peterson, 4th. Both advanced to regionals.
Junior high boys competing: Preston Conner, Ranger Forrest, Brantley Rhoden, Bryson Teeters.
Junior high girls competing: Audrey Nevins.
