Rob Freyer is announcing his candidacy for 258th district judge in the March Primary.

“The people of Polk, San Jacinto and Trinity counties deserve a district judge who brings energy and accountability to the bench. As you prepare to vote in the March 3 Republican Primary, I ask for your support to serve as your next judge of the 258th District Court.

“With nearly 30 years of courtroom experience, I have dedicated my career to criminal law, evidence, and procedure while practicing across criminal, civil, and family matters. I am the only attorney in the district who is board certified in criminal law. My record includes more than 250 felony jury trials and tens of thousands of cases resolved. I have mentored hundreds of attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom presentation, strengthening the justice system for future generations.

“My opponent states that this will be his final term. Rather than waiting for transition, I believe now is the time to embrace new leadership – leadership committed to long term service, stability, and renewed trust in the court. Our communities deserve a judge prepared to serve for the years ahead, not one preparing to step away. My candidacy offers a forward-looking path grounded in experience and a commitment to strengthening the court for the future.

“A district judge must remain impartial, fair and firmly rooted in the Constitution. I pledge to uphold the law without bias, influence or favoritism. Justice should never depend on who you are, where you come from or what you believe. Every person deserves to be heard, respected and judged fairly.

“I have built my career on honesty, accountability and respect for the people. I champion transparency and accessibility, ensuring the courtroom is a place of dignity rather than intimidation. As your judge, I will listen carefully, treat parties with respect, and prioritize fairness in every decision.

“My education is as follows: Texas Christian University – B.A. in history, Spanish, political science; Florida International University – Summa Cum Laude, criminal justice administration; South Texas College of Law – J.D., top one-fourth of class; fluent in Spanish.

“This election is about vision: continuing leadership winding down or choosing leadership building up. I am prepared to deliver renewed fairness, accountability and stability to the 258th District Court. On March 3, 2026, I ask for your vote. Learn more at www.Freyer4Judge.com.”
