The Trinity County 356 Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Memphis Bell Lane near FM 356 on Friday, and soon required assistance from Onalaska VFD, Trinity VFD and Groveton VFD.
The house was heavily damaged as firefighters had to battle the fire with a 15 mph wind off Lake Livingston.
The cause remains under investigation.
Firefighters from 356 VFD extended their thanks to the departments for their quick response and assistance; when departments work together, it shows the strength of small-town fire service.
