The Groveton Indians went 1-1 for the week, beating Mount Enterprise 4-2 on March 3 but losing 7-1 to Arp on Friday.
Jasper Due kept the Mount Enterprise team at bay, throwing nine strikeouts while giving up only 4 hits.
Canyen Hollis went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Against Arp, Groveton managed to scrape up 4 hits but only managed the lone score by Gunner Wilson.
Hollis and Jace Taylor shared mound duty, tossing only 2 strikeouts and giving up 4 runs.
The Tigers posted a 12-11 win over Latexo on March 3, and then three losses in the 225 Classic Tournament over the weekend.
Against Latexo, Hunter Ogden and Austin Beasley combined for seven strikeouts while giving up 11 hits. Brady Arnold and Jace Gambill each posted two hits to lead at the plate.
At the tournament, Trinity lost to Garrison 13-1 and to Chireno 8-9 on Thursday. Against Garrison, Brady Arnold had the hot bat with two hits, and the trio of Jordan Bond, Aaron Brooks and David Alexander took turns on the mound, giving up 6 hits and walking 10 batters.
Shortly after that, the Tigers were edged out by Chireno 9-8. The team produced only 4 hits, but took full advantage of the steal, combining for nine. John Garcia and Matthew Bass tossed five strikeouts but walked six and gave up five hits.
On Friday, Arp overpowered Trinity 16-1, managing only three hits on the day. Ogden, Arnold, Brooks and Ronnie Barnett tried to keep Arp honest, but only managed one strikeout while giving up 10 hits.
The Eagles scored big on March 2, hammering Kennard 22-4. Rance Howard led with three hits, and Tristin Eddings, Cooper Campbell and Drake Pierce each had two hits in the win.
Campbell, Eddings, Angel Reyna and Kayden Roden took turns on the mound, combining for 10 strikeouts and giving up only 1 hit.
