In the last issue of the Trinity County Standard Newspaper I listed some well-known people who had passed away in 2024, but I did not list the significant people who had passed away in Trinity County in 2024.
It wasn’t because they were less important, but because sometimes the truth hurts too much, and when your friends and loved ones start dying you realize your own mortality.
In this issue I am going to list the Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce 2025 Calendar of Events and Holidays that most residents know by heart. The format will be so you can save it to your refrigerator, and so you can text me your events each month, add them to list and correct me when I am incorrect.

I am very optimistic for 2025, and I am looking forward to a great year. My children and their in-laws have invited our group to visit Jackson Hole, Wyo., in September, and that should be a wonderful time of the year to visit a state that I have never been to.
Jan. 6, 2025, was the smooth transition of the Electoral College counting the vote for the next President of the United States, Donald Trump. What a difference it was as shown on national television for Donald Trump as compared to President Joe Bidens’ electoral vote for his presidency.

The cold weather is OK, but I dread the wet cold weather Thursday and Friday. Stay warm and safe.
