Lady Tigers split games at Aggieland Tournament

COLLEGE STATION — Trinity split its tournament games the last week of the year in the Aggieland Tournament, going 2-2.

On Dec. 29, Trinity opened play with a 50-48 squeaker win over Alvarado, with Braleigh Bush and Mariah Tyson each contributing 13 points to the win. Then against La Vernia, the Lady Tigers were outclassed 73-26, with Alexa Pruitt managing only 9 points to lead the offense.

Then on Dec. 30, Salado outpaced Trinity 63-40, with Bree Davidson hitting for 12 points and Mariah Tyson for 10. The last game for the Lady Tigers saw a 74-37 turnaround win over Benbrook, with Tyson hitting for 22 points, followed by Braleigh Bush with 15 and Davidson with 10.

Groveton

The Lady Indians lost to Grapeland 51-13 on Friday.

Centerville

The Lady Bulldogs won by forfeit over Laneville on Friday.

Apple Springs

The Lady Eagles lost to Martinsville 67-17 on Friday.
