TRINITY — Despite trailing for three quarters, the Lady Tiger offense found another gear and outscored the Coldspring Lady Trojans 17-2 in the fourth for a

The win gives Trinity sole possession of second in district and finish with a 7-3 record (20-12 overall).

Players also received team awards: Emma Sustaita for shooting, Aria English for rebounding, Asis Cerda for defense and Alexa Pruitt and Paetyn Jolly for hustle.

While every player contributed to the win, Emma Sustaita led the pack with 10 points, and Mariah Tyson pulled down 14 rebounds to bring her career total to more than 900.

On Thursday, Trinity played a pre-tournament warmup game against Douglass, downing the Lady Indians 33-26.

Braleigh Bush led the team in scoring with 14, while Alexa Pruitt added 13 rebounds.

Centerville

The Lady Bulldogs finished district play with a 59-26 win over Kennard, giving them an 18-10 overall and 10-4 district record, and entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in Division 2. 

Leading the way to the win was Avery Brown with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals; Darbi Parker with 11 points, 6 steals and 5 deflections; and Laney Peterson with 6 points and 5 rebounds.

Then on Monday, Centerville downed Spurger 63-22 in Corrigan in the Bi-District round of the playoffs.

The team moves to the area round of the playoffs and faces Priddy, but the date and time had not yet been set.

Groveton

Although the Lady Indians ended the regular season with a 26-24 loss to Latexo, they ended with 6-5 district record (12-13 overall) which was good enough for the postseason.

The team was to play LaPoyner Tuesday in Elkhart in the bi-district round.
