APPLE SPRINGS —Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a one-vehicle fatality crash, that occurred Saturday on state Highway 94, west of Apple Springs.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:42 p.m., a 2023 Kenworth TR, towing a 2022 Faymonville over-sized load trailer, being pushed by a 2016 Kenworth TR was traveling east.
It is reported that the Kenworth that was pushing the over-sized load from the rear, for an unknown reason, left the roadway to the right, flipped onto its side, and came to rest off the roadway.
The driver of the 2023 Kenworth, 41-year-old Cody Herman of Kountze, was not injured. The occupant of the 2016 Kenworth, identified as Ian Manatse, 43, of Conroe, was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.
This is an ongoing investigation.
