A summary of items discussed at the April 27 meeting of the Groveton City Council.
Council members postponed approval of an easement for the new owner of Groveton Hardware Store until a boundary line is established. Previously, when the McClain family had the store, city had issued an easement for loading and unloading. Since such items are assigned to person and not property, it needs to be renewed, and Mayor Hayden Lee will research the matter.
The Council approved a request for Life Church to close the Square on July 24 for a community event.
A resignation from Municipal Court Clerk Shakaiya Pope was accepted.
The Council postponed action on a proposed settlement between Aspen and the city for damages incurred during the installation of fiberoptic line in the city. Numerous water lines were damaged during the work that occurred in March.
