With me seeking reelection as your Trinity County Clerk, I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience and my journey with you all.
I started with the County Clerk’s Office part-time in 2006 under the Honorable Diane McCrory. I learned so much about the history of Trinity County. I fell in love with my county all over again, and I knew I was right where I was supposed to be on my career path. After being part-time for a short period, I was given the amazing opportunity to go full time then was honored to be appointed and elected as your Trinity County Clerk when the Honorable Diane McCrory retired in 2014.
I immediately wanted to learn everything I could about the different aspects of the job and believe me it was a lot. One of the best parts of the job is getting to know so many people in the community, hearing their stories, family histories and doing my best to be there for them in their time of need. What you may not know is being in the Trinity County Clerk’s Office, we are with people during some of the happiest moments of their life as well as some of the hardest times.
The Trinity County Clerk’s office issues marriage licenses, birth certificates and property records. We get to be a little part of those special moments of getting married, having a baby, or buying a new house/ property. My staff and I are also there for those tough times. We issue death certificates, as well as handle probate matters and we do our very best to be delicate in these hard times to let our county know we are there for them.
In my time with the Trinity County Clerk’s Office, I’ve been able to see a different side of our county and the wonderful people who call this home. It has been an honor to serve you as your Trinity County Clerk. I greatly appreciate your continued support in the upcoming election.
