NACOGDOCHES — Rhonda Ward, an eighth-generation Texan, business owner and conservative leader, has announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination for Texas State Senator in District 3.
"I have traveled hundreds of miles throughout each of the district’s 18 counties, meeting with people and listening to what concerns them right now,” she said. “Safety, property tax relief, curbing rising insurance rates, and creating policies that build economic security are at the forefront of issues for families and businesses across Senate District 3.
“People also want to ensure their leaders are guided by a vision grounded in conservative principles," Ward said. “I am a conservative, and I will lead like one for Senate District 3. I will be a Senator who will be a loyal partner for our local communities in times of strength and vulnerability. I will show up and be a Senator who will be vocal, present, and accessible. I will be a Senator who will be aggressive in getting results for our district’s residents. I will be a Senator who will be an active participant in fighting to keep Texas red and keep Texas the nation’s model for conservative leadership.”
