This week is the first football game for the TISD Varsity Football team which is on Friday, against Leon ISD at Jewett. Senior Volleyball game was at Shepherd Tuesday night, and the Junior High Team plays Thursday evening at the Trinity High School campus football field.

The Trinity School District has a wonderful website and anything you want to know about out school district can be found there. It is very colorful, organized, and informative.

Whoever created and maintains this site should be honored and congratulated for a job well done. I have visited other school websites, and I think our website surpasses a lot of other school sites.

•Last week I told you to watch this space for the Fall Celebration Round-Up at First Methodist Church of Trinity. This event is to be held on Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall at 131 N. Elm Street in Trinity. A Chili & Fixin’s Dinner will be served before Dr. Alisa White speaks to women of all ages and denominations. The public is invited to attend this wonderful worshipful celebration.

Dr. Alisa White is president and professor of Mass Communication at Sam Houston State University. Dr. White’s leadership is characterized by her commitment to building strong teams, empowering leaders, and forging positive relationships.

Praise and worship is the theme for this occasion with added bonuses of door prizes, photos, food, and music. If you would like to participate in this Round-Up, Western attire is an option. For more information, please call Laura at (936) 594-3826.
