Centerville

On Friday, Centerville hosted Wells, a team the Bulldogs had only beaten once in at least the past 10 years, that win being in 2019.

Centerville ended the 7-year drought with a 84-58 victory over the Pirates.

The Bulldogs stormed out to a 26-3 lead to start the game and never looked back for a statement win. It was a career game for sophomore Hardy Brown who put up a career high in points and rebounds for a single game.

"Hardy is a special athlete,” Head Coach Geoffrey Hollis said. “One of the most dedicated, hardest working kids I've ever been around. I am very thankful to have another 2 years of Hardy Brown, with his work ethic, there's no limit to how special he can be."

This is win No. 20 for the Bulldogs, who secured back-to-back 20-plus win seasons and playoff berths for Centerville, something that has not happened in decades.

Top producers in the game were    Hardy Brown with 36 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals;     Kolt Larsen with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists;     Iain Kendrick with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 9 steals;     Braden White with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist; and      Wyatt Clede with 4 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks.
