EDINBURG — Trinity High School's Avery Crawford claimed fourth place in her weight class at the Powerlifting State Meet in Edinburg on Thursday.
Among her other achievements, Crawford is ranked 24th overall lifter of the 167 female lifters in the 3A Small Division State Meet, and she won her award in a field of 12 ladies in the 220-weight class.
Crawford lifted 365 pounds in the squat, 220 in the bench press and had a 315 dead lift for a total of 900 pounds.
At regionals, she was ranked 16th overall out of 121 ladies lifting in the 3A Small Division. Additionally, secured 4th overall lifter in bench, 10th overall lifter in deadlift, and earned 1st place in her class.
During the season, she won 1st-place lifter at three invitational meets.
