GROVETON —Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a one-vehicle crash on State Highway 94, north of Groveton, that occurred Sunday.

Trinity Fire Department responded to the crash, along with Ventura EMS.

According to DPS reports, at approximately 2 p.m., a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling south. It is reported that the Jeep attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone, lost control, traveled off the road, and struck a tree.

Trinity Fire Chief Keith Johnson said TVFD assisted Ventura EMS with two patients who were transported to MidCoast Medical Center-Trinity.

The driver of the Jeep, 53-year-old Kevin Wilson of Montgomery, was not injured. The passengers, 30-year-old Russell Deselle of Dickinson and 39-year-old Stephen Pilgrim of Groveton, were transported for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
