TRINITY — Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a one-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market Road 230, west of Trinity, that occurred Sunday.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:10 a.m., a 2003 Dodge Caravan was traveling north. It is reported that the driver of the Dodge failed to drive in a single marked lane, left the road to the right, overcorrected back to the left, and overturned.
Trinity Fire Chief Keith Johnson said that at approximately 5 a.m., firefighters were called to a wreck with entrapment. He said the driver was extricated and transported by Ventura EMS to the helipad and PHI AirMed transported the victim to a trauma center.
The driver of the Dodge, 27-year-old Sue Elliott of Jasper, was transported to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital for treatment of possible life-threatening injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation.
Johnson said this was the second rollover accident of the weekend; on Saturday afternoon, a one-vehicle accident happened on Highway 94 at the Trinity city limits.
No one was injured, he said.
