GROVETON — The Trinity County Commissioners Court discussed helping with a state flood plan effort, and organizers are looking for help from county residents as well.

Wesley Traylor of Traylor & Associates, a consulting firm working on the 2028 Neches Regional Flood Plan, said his group is working with the state to identify problem areas in hopes of reducing flood risks and impact of flooding.

Officials and residents can log onto a website and provide information that will make sure the regional groups and the state are aware of any flooding issues in the area. Traylor said that more information also helps with recovery and grant funding opportunities.

In other business, commissioners:

  • tabled again a contract with IT Enabled for outsources IT services; and
  • approved a donation from the Republican Women of Trinity County for use at the Trinity County Community Center.
