COLDSPRING — The Tigers took advantage of a young Coldspring team on Friday, besting the Trojans 63-42 in district play.

Trinity controlled the tempo from the opening tip and never looked back; from the opening jump ball, the Trojans found themselves in an uphill battle. Trinity’s aggressive defense and disciplined execution held Coldspring to single-digit scoring in both the first and second quarters, as the Trojans managed just eight and six points respectively.

Meanwhile, the Tigers built an early advantage behind strong senior leadership, taking a commanding 40–14 lead into halftime.

Chance Barron had the hot hand, pouring in 20 points. He was followed by Ayden Debose with 11 and Darryn Bass with 10.

On Jan 20, Trinity kept its seasonal streak of winning home games with a 75-49 downing of Anderson-Shiro.
