The Groveton Indians won two district games against the Douglass Indians, 4-2 on April 16 and 4-0 on Friday.

The wins keep the team at the top of the district rankings with a 7-0 record (20-5 overall).

In the April 16 game, Jack Sullivan had the hot hand at the plate with 2 hits.

On the mound, Ty Torregrossa and Jake Plotts combined for 7 strikeouts while only allowing 4 hits.

Stats were unavailable for Friday’s game.

Trinity

The Tigers dropped two games to Crockett last week, 18-14 on April 16 and 19-16 on Friday.

Centerville

The Bulldogs lost to Wells 6-2 on Friday.

Groveton

The Lady Indians won two more district games last week, beating Corrigan-Camden 17-0 on Thursday and Lovelady 8-2 on April 16.

In the April 16 game, Lexi Easterling and Landree Martin led the offense with 2 hits apiece.

Martin and Megan Luce shared the mound, combining for 13 strikeouts and allowing no hits.

On Thursday, Martin had 4 hits and Kiki Smith had 3 with 4 RBIs to lead the office.

Abi Roberts had mound duty, tossing 6 strikeouts while allowing only 1 hit.

Trinity

The Lady Tigers split games last week against Crockett, winning 14-2 on April 16 but falling 19-18 on Thursday.

Apple Springs

The Lady Eagles lost to Wells 4-0 on April 15.
