COLMESNEIL – The National Honor Society empowers and equips students with the knowledge and skills to be transformative leaders in your school, community, and beyond.
National Honor Society (NHS) membership has been the true mark of student achievement for more than 100 years, but it goes far beyond a report card. By empowering, championing, and recognizing well-rounded students, NHS provides schools with a values-based framework to elevate a culture of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Each year in the fall semester, Colmesneil ISD evaluates juniors and seniors based on criteria set by a committee including Administration and staff of CISD. The new criteria set by this committee for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows: a cumulative GPA of 3.2; teacher evaluations and excellence in the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, leadership, character and service.
