WOODVILLE – A corrections officer working at the Gib Lewis Unit in Woodville was arrested last week on charges of indecent exposure and official oppression.
According to jail records, Travis Glen Darsey, a 51-year-old Woodville man, was booked into the Tyler County Jail and given the two charges. His bond was set at $4,000.
Darsey was arrested last Thursday, April 30, following an investigation that began when an inmate in the prison reported that he had exposed himself inside of a cell. Darsey, according to court documents, admitted to exposing himself, placing his genitals through a food tray slot and had asked the inmate to touch him.
Darsey was hired by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2019 and given a five-year service award in May of 2025.
