WOODVILLE – Allan Shivers Library and Museum museum director LaLa Elrod has put together a temporary exhibit at the facility called Dogwood Time in Tyler County: Generations of Spring in Bloom.
The exhibit showcases gowns worn by previous Dogwood Queens, as well as one of the older Dogwood trains, crown, scepters, and many photographs. There is even some memorabilia from Western Weekend sweethearts.
The exhibit opened to the public on Wednesday, March 11 and will remain open until Monday, April 4. Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Self-guided audio tours are offered. Free admission, donations welcome. Library hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
