WOODVILLE — Amber Lynn Mock, a 35-year-old Jasper woman, who was the subject of a regional manhunt, was arrested on Saturday morning in Angelina County in a van stolen from Victory in Jesus Church.
Mock, who was arrested in connection with the burglary, was wanted on a multitude of charges, including burglary and possession of a controlled substance. She is currently being held in the Angelina County Jail, and awaiting extradition to Jasper County, according to Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard.
The charges listed for Mock include several misdemeanor moving violations ranging to several state jail felony charges, and a second-degree felony charge for controlled substance possession.
The pastor of the Town Bluff church, August Francis, said that along with the church van being stolen, the church and sanctuary had been broken into, with the person or persons who were responsible absconding with projectors, a laptop computer and several other items, as well as the van.
The van had been seen in different areas, and reports of its sightings helped lead to its location and Mock’s arrest.
