Gustavo Longoria Medina, Sr., 67, of Woodville, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville, Texas.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 13, 2024 beginning 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. rosary and funeral service at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville. Officiating will be Father Jim Aherne. Burial will be held at a later date in Santa Teresa Cemetery in Rio Grande, Zacatecas in Mexico.
Gustavo was born October 7, 1956 to Jose Elias Longoria Saucedo and Sipriana Medina Longoria in Rio Grande, Zacatecas in Mexico. He was a longtime resident of Woodville and had been employed with Cypress Creek in maintenance. He was a member of Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Sipriana Longoria; son, Gustavo Longoria Aldaba; brothers, Hipolito Longoria Medina and Jesus Longoria Medina.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Maria Socorro Aldava Romero of Woodville; sons, Mario Longoria Aldaba of Rio Grande, Mexico, and Jose Elias Longoria Aldaba of Woodville; brother, Juan Antonio Longoria Medina of Waco; sister, Micaela Longoria Medina of Rio Grande, Mexico; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
