I, Morgan Tucker Hoskins, am pleased to announce I am running for re-election for City of Woodville Alderman, Place 1. I am a descendant of the Fortenberry and Tucker families that began in the 1740’s in Tyler County, and Class of 2000 graduate from Woodville HS. I graduated from Texas State University with a Business Management degree and have worked in Corporate America for 20 years as an Event Manager. I have been married to Craig Hoskins for 24 years. Our daughter, Hayley, graduated in May 2026 from Woodville HS and is currently enrolled at UT Austin and majoring in Health & Society. Hunter is currently an 8th grader at Woodville MS. We are also the proud parents of 5 adult children and 12 amazing grandchildren.
We moved back to Woodville 13 years ago so we could raise our family in the town I grew up in because this community means something to us. The values and history are something we wanted for our family. I have been involved in our community through the Dogwood Festival and Woodville VFD, where my husband served as a firefighter, and I through WVFD Ladies Auxiliary. I have served our schools through the Athletic Booster Club and parent committees, and all our children’s academic and extracurricular activities. I am an active member of First Baptist Church of Woodville, where I have been involved with our youth and children’s ministries for 13 years and sing in the choir.
I am asking for your support and vote for Alderman because I understand the importance of being involved in our community. I believe that my experience and knowledge will be beneficial to planning for the future of our city. I believe in my ability to make informed decisions for the good of the community, and not personal interest. I look forward to working with other council members to support our city’s staff – including first responders and city workers - and services and make sound financial decisions to benefit our citizens. I am proud of my family's name and heritage in Tyler County and want to continue making Woodville a place where future generations can live and prosper; a place where families with children can enjoy what our community has to offer, not just a retirement community.
I humbly ask for your vote and look forward to continuing serving the City of Woodville.
Thank You,
Morgan Tucker Hoskins
