WARREN – Warren ISD reported an ongoing investigation taking place last week involving a district employee and students.
According to a statement from the school district, it cited that “statements were reportedly made that raised concerns involving student safety” on the Warren Elementary School campus. The investigation was made public last Friday. The staff member, who has not been named, was removed from Warren ISD pending the investigation’s outcome.
The statement issued by the district stated that it “takes any allegation involving the safety, security and wellbeing of students extremely seriously,” and that the matter has been “referred for investigation,” which is currently ongoing.
“The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remains Warren ISD’s highest priorities,” the statement added.
Due to the status of the investigation as an ongoing concern, there are no additional details available from Warren ISD, but the district stated that it is working cooperatively with the appropriate authorities “and will take appropriate action based on the findings of the investigation,” due both to applicable law and the district’s local policies.
