Johnston celebrated

WOODVILLE – The City of Woodville hosted a retirement celebration, Friday, July 10, to honor Tracy Greer Johnston and celebrate her 27 years of dedicated service to the city.

It was wonderful to see so many current and past employees, council members, family and friends come together to recognize her incredible career. Johnston began her journey at City Hall in 1999, and over nearly three decades, she has become a cornerstone of the city’s operations.

It was noted that she has an amazing ability to greet most customers by name and recall addresses and prior service issues off the top of her head. While losing her extensive knowledge of protocol and procedure will certainly be a challenging transition for the Woodville City Hall, it is her big personality they will miss the most. Anyone who knows her, knows she always has a story to tell and constantly keeps those around her entertained with the daily details of her life.
Johnston is starting an exciting new chapter as a third-grade teacher at Woodville ISD. Her last day at City Hall will be July 24, and the city wishes to thank her for her years of service and wish her the absolute best in her teaching career.
