FRED – A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Fred man who was found to be in possession of meth and testosterone.

According to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, on the night of Tuesday, Feb. 3, deputies with the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office were patrolling in the Fred area and stopped 43-year-old Kevin Anthony Eason for a traffic violation.

Weatherford said that the deputies, when speaking with Eason, could detect the odor of burning marijuana coming from the vehicle, and he admitted to possessing a marijuana cigarette.

The deputies searched the vehicle, and discovered the marijuana cigarette, alone with a glass smoking pipe containing approximately .5 grams of meth and 22 grams of testosterone concealed in Eason’s sock. The testosterone, Weatherford said, was not prescribed to Eason.

Eason was transported to the Tyler County Jail, and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance for the meth; possession of a controlled substance (penalty group 3) for the testosterone and a marijuana possession charge. Eason’s bonds were set at a total of $40,000.
