CADDO LAKE – Shelby Patrick, 2020 graduate of Colmesneil HS, placed third in round two of fishing the Women’s Bass Tour held at Caddo Lake.
he is thankful to get to fish with such a great group of competitive women who push her to do better every day. Her next tournament is May 16 at Sam Rayburn.
Patrick said the tournament was one that really tested her.
“Two long days of pre-fishing trying to figure things out, and it seemed like nothing wanted to come together. Then Saturday hit and the weather got rough, making it even more challenging,” she said.
“But I kept pushing, stayed focused, trusted my gut, and refused to give up. Most importantly, God was watching over me and kept me safe through it all, and I’ll never take that for granted.
To be able to come out of a tough tournament like that and finish third place on Caddo Lake.”
