WARREN – The Ramsey Ranch is hosting its annual gala, now in its second year, on Saturday, Dec. 6, and the public already has the chance to help with the goal of the event.
According to Jenny Ramsey, the co-owner and event coordinator of the venue, nominations are open to the public to nominate a family in Tyler County who could use a helping hand. The proceeds from the gala, which will feature dinner, music, door prizes and an auction, is to raise money to “give an unforgettable Christmas to a Tyler County family who has had some hard luck,” Ramsey said.
“We just want to spread joy and give them something to believe in,” she said. “We want to brighten their world for Christmas.”
Last year’s event was able to benefit a few different families, Ramsey said, including one who lost all of their possessions in a housefire. Businesses and individuals can also make donations toward the cause. The contact information to nominate or to donate is through Ramsey, who can be reached via phone, text or email, at 409-200-6311 or at adreamfulfilled@yahoo.com
The nominations will be received until Oct. 30. Those who wish to attend the gala can also take advantage of pre-sale ticket prices, which are $70 for individual tickets or $700 for a table of eight. Those reservations can be made via Ramsey, as well, and those pre-sale prices are good until Oct. 6. After that date, the tickets will go to full price of $85 for individual tickets and tables for $800.
