I’m Henry E. Sawyer Jr. hoping to win your vote as the Republican candidate in the March 2026 election for Tyler County Justice of the Peace Pct 4. I am a lifelong resident of Spurger, Texas. I was born to Henry E. Sawyer Sr. and June Doris Sawyer. I have two sisters Pam Fomby and Charlotte Perkins. I attended Spurger ISD from Kindergarten to grade 12, graduating in 1981. I married the love of my life Lorrie McBee Sawyer and we have one son Keaton.
I began my career with Texas Department of Transportation, where I worked my way up with training and experience in department maintenance. I became maintenance supervisor of the Woodville Division November 1993 until my retirement on July 2016, with 31 years of service providing me with experience in working County, State and Government agencies.
I worked with CMG Funeral partners, Riley’s Funeral Home and Farmers Funeral Home. I served on the Spurger Volunteer Fire Department for 46 years. I began my Fire Department service as a Junior Fire member. I was past Fire Chief and Treasurer. I was a past member of the Spurger Lions Club.
My conservative values are rooted in God, family, honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, hard work and loyalty. I believe these values and my professional experiences would make me a superlative Justice of the peace for Tyler County.
As your Tyler County Justice of the peace, Pct 4, I will meet the needs of citizens and respect your quality of life, while working with local law enforcement and county and government in a reasonable manner. I will be dedicated in supporting change, and supporting local law enforcement for the safety of you, your family and property. As a dedicated public servant, I will be devoted for service for our community as Tyler County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace with your vote and support.
