TYLER COUNTY – The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office assisted with an arrest of a Houston murder suspect last week.
Sean Donte Bullard, a 26-year-old Houston man, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting last year, of Nicholas Batiste.
Batiste, 22, was fatally shot in May of last year, and according to an incident report from the Houston Police Department, officers had responded to a call of a shooting on May 22, and arrived to find Batiste unresponsive on a sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no suspect or known motive, according to reports, but after a months-long investigation, Bullard was identified as the suspect.
He was arrested last Wednesday, Feb. 19, in Tyler County, by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, with assistance from TCSO.
He was taken into custody and booked in to the Tyler County Jail, according to jail records, but transferred later to the Harris County Jail, and is charged with murder in the 228th State District Court.
