WOODVILLE – The Spring Pop Up Exhibit at the Allan Shivers Museum is open now through April 28.

The Easter Bunny is in residence and is ready for family pictures. Visitors will also find a lovely display of porcelain birds recently donated to the museum just in time for this exhibit. The beautiful Easter Bonnets are on loan from Barbara Morris’s extensive hat collection.  This museum belongs to and is for the education and enjoyment of all of Tyler County. Come see Spring at the ASLM.

The story of Allan Shivers’ permanent collection is told throughout the museum’s themed rooms to share the legacy of his time as 37th Governor of Texas after growing up here in Tyler County.

His love and appreciation for the childhood he had here is depicted in the memorabilia, photographs, political cartoons, maps, evening gowns, saddles, awards and many other items he and his family have shared with our community.

We look forward to your visit to this “Jewel in the Pines.” The museum is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
