WARREN – An ongoing investigation conducted between several different agencies led to an arrest in Warren, and a significant haul of narcotics.

Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford said that last Wednesday, lawmen arrested Terry Rernard Foster, a 49-year-old Warren man. The arrest was the result of a joint operation between the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office.

Weatherford said deputies with TCSO along with DPS agents made a traffic stop on Foster at the intersection of FM 1943 East and FM 3290 in Warren.

When the officers present searched his truck, they were able to uncover more than 400 grams of cocaine and $30K in currency.

After the traffic stop and Foster’s arrest, the investigators were able to execute a search warrant at Foster’s residence where they uncovered even more contraband and paraphernalia, including a gram of crack cocaine and several items that investigators believe are used for converting cocaine to crack and also items for packaging narcotics for distribution.

Weatherford said that Foster’s truck along with a total of $43,433 in cash was seized.

Foster was booked into the Tyler County Jail on four counts of felony manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, for various classes of drugs and amounts. Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Tina Self set his bonds at a total of $650K.

Weatherford said that Foster could face additional charges on money laundering.

“This case is an excellent demonstration of teamwork between the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS, and the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office,” Weatherford said.

Records show that Foster had served a prison sentence on a drug conviction from 2012.
