WOODVILLE – January is School Board Recognition Month and Woodville ISD is celebrating its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students.
In addition to participating in regular board meetings, trustees serve as ambassadors and advocates for their district in their local community. These volunteers are strong advocates for the power of public education in transforming students’ lives.
The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month is “Leadership for Tomorrow’s Texas”, which highlights their investment in our state’s future workforce. Woodville ISD has a dedicated and hardworking board of trustees, their governance and guidance help set the foundation for ensuring our students have not only educational opportunities, but also the skills and experiences they need to help build tomorrow’s Texas.
Board members serving Woodville ISD are Jimmy Tucker-President, John Wilson-Vice President, Josh McClure-Secretary, Kris Fowler, John David Risinger, Richard (Kooter) Shaw and Bryan Shirley.
