I am Jim Zachary and I am seeking the office of Justice of the Peace Pct 4. It would be my honor to once again serve the people of Tyler County.
My training, education and experience are my greatest qualifications. I served as your Constable for 14 years. I also served our school system as the SRO for 7 years. It was there that I had the opportunity to interact with and get to know many of you who are now the present and future of our county.
Upon retiring as your constable in 2020 I have continued to utilize my education and experience and serve in different areas of law enforcement. I always strove to be honest, fair and compassionate and I will carry these same traits as your Justice of the Peace. I served as Deputy Marshall, bailiff and training officer for the City of Ivanhoe. I have also served as an instructor for the Texas Justice Court Training Center, traveling across Texas training Constables and JPs.
When Ivanhoe transitioned to a police department, I became Administrative Captain and bailiff. I currently work with the U S Marshal Service as a federal court security officer in Beaumont. I will resign once becoming JP of Pct 4.
