Turner Johnson was selected to represent Team Texas at the baseball 2D Southeast Cup in Louisiana, July 31- August 2.

Johnson was one of 17 players invited, and the only class 1A player chosen for the team. Johnson played against Florida, Louisiana, and Alabama over three days of games. He stated that he appreciated the opportunity to play and he had a great time.

Johnson has also been invited to participate in the Piney Woods Games, an invite only event for players to play in front of college coaches for exposure. Johnson was chosen out of more than 380 players who have attended a baseball camp at Angelina College.

Johnson hopes to continue his baseball career after high school, and these games give him the chance to be seen by schools he is interested in.
