Trojans take Bulldogs 19-4

COLDSPRING —The Coldspring-Crockett game was a highlight reel including just about every play that makes a high school baseball game great.
Singles, doubles, triples and several in-the-park homers were part of the March 12 scoring barrage, giving the Trojans a 19-4 win.
Coldspring opened the game with a first inning of 7 runs, and then posting another 5 runs in the second. As the third inning got started, Coach Austin Riddell emphasized improving fundamentals over running up the score.
Nolan Beaver threw 2 1/3 innings before Jordan Ash relieved him.
Shepherd
Shepherd fell to New Waverly 3-1 on March 12, but on Thursday won the away game 7-4 against the Bulldogs.

Lady Pirates won 2 over New Waverly Lady Bulldogs, winning 10-4 on March 12 and 9-0 on March 11.
On March 12, Isabelle Hooper toed the mound, striking out 10 while giving up 9 hits.
Adison Simpson led the offense, going 4-for-4 while driving in 4 runs. Hooper added 3 hits.
On March 11, the Lady Pirates went the distance, but still blanked the Lady Bulldogs in 7 innings.
Isabelle Hooper got the win on the mound, tossing a whopping 13 strikeouts while allowing only 3 hits.
Hooper also led the offense with three hits, while Neveah Murphy and Rylei N added 2 apiece.
Coldspring
The Lady Trojans posted a 15-0 win over the Crockett Lady Bulldogs on March 12.
Trinity Rosales was sharp on the mound, throwing 5 strikeouts while allowing only 1 hit.
Haylee Rosales led the offense with 3-for-3 batting and 5 RBIs, while Izzy Doggett went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs. Heaven Burleson added 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
