Polk County Publishing Company is a small community news business in East Texas owned by Alvin Holley from Livingston. Mr. Holley bought the company in 1974 and has grown it to four county newspapers with print and digital offerings covering Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, and Tyler counties and surrounding areas; the East Texan Magazine; a twice weekly e-newsletter; and this newly renovated regional news website easttexasnews.com, originally established in the early 90s.
