The Livingston Police Department, with assistance from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a sting operation at the Su Massage Parlor located at 913 N. Washington Ave. on March 28.

One female, Shijiao Jiang, 65 of Livingston, was arrested and charged with prostitution which is a Class “B” misdemeanor. Additional charges are pending as the investigation is still ongoing.

The Livingston Police Department began the investigation after receiving complaints from local citizens regarding illicit activity occurring at the establishment.

“Massage parlors such as this one have been popping up all over the East Texas area and are many times being used as a front for human trafficking. Anyone who has any additional information regarding this investigation is asked to please contact the Livingston Police Department,” Chief Matt Parrish said.
